The Faculty of Food Processing Technology, founded in 1990, is the second academic institution in the field on a national level.
The teaching staff of the faculty is currently made up of 45 teachers, bringing together the extensive experience of teachers with a long career and young teachers’ competence and enthusiasm. The staff is also joined by associate professors - specialists renowned on a national and international level.
Our faculty trains students in the field of food engineering and issues bachelor’s degrees in the following fields:
  • Food Engineering;
  • Food Control and Expertise;
  • Consumer and Environmental Protection;
  • Extracts and natural food additives.

The faculty’s educational offer also includes master studies with specialization in food technology and food product control, as well as doctoral studies in the field of Food Engineering. Post graduate studies training specialists in the food safety management system accoring to HACCP guidelines also complete the specialisation possibilities offered by our faculty.

Today, after 25 years of existence and 20 years as an independent faculty within the Banat University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Timišoara, our students are offered new educational possibilities, European-level facilities, as well as accommodation in completely restored student halls, modern sport facilities and the possibility for technological practice within specialized units which are leaders in the area.
